DOLBADARN CASTLE

Built in the early 13th century by Llywelyn ap Iorwerth (Llywelyn the Great) Castell Dolbadarn stands on the shores of Llyn Padarn in Eryri (formerly Snowdonia) National Park.

I was fortunate to have the location to myself on this beautifully clear Summer night and had time to soak in the history and atmosphere. A strategically placed light in one of the lower windows adds an extra dimension to the composition.
